About Prof. K. Nageshwar

Prof. K. Nageshwar is a distinguished academic, journalist, former legislator and a prominent public intellectual.

He was an independently elected member of the Legislative Council, representing graduates of Hyderabad and adjoining districts for two terms in united Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. He is a retired professor of Journalism from Osmania University. He was also a distinguished visiting professor at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Hyderabad, SRM University, NALSAR University of Law, the Institute of Public Enterprises, and ICFAI, among others. He has delivered lectures to probationers and senior IAS, IPS and other central and state officers at the National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, the National Police Academy, and the Dr. MCR Institute of Human Resources Development. He has addressed officers of the Maldives Police Service, members of the Bhutanese Parliament, and professionals and officials from over 30 countries. As a media personality of eminence, he was the founder-Chairman of 10TV, Editor-in-Chief of HMTV, and Editor of The Hans India, an English daily. He has written extensively for leading national and regional newspapers, magazines and websites, and regularly comments on national and Telugu television channels — he is also a prominent influencer in his own right, with over a million followers and more than 10 million viewers a month on his YouTube channel.

He has won the UGC Career Award and the Justice Avula Sambashiva Rao Memorial Award, among others.
