Reporting an error

If you believe a piece on ProfessorN.in contains a factual error — a wrong figure, date, quote, name or event — email Editor@professorn.in with the article link and a description of the issue. Corrections are reviewed and, where warranted, made promptly.

How a correction is made

A factual error is fixed in the article text, and a dated correction note is added stating what was changed and why — not silently edited. For a significant factual error, the note appears at the top of the piece; for a minor one (a typo, a misspelled name), at the bottom is enough.

Corrections vs. updates

A correction fixes something that was wrong. An update adds new information to a still-developing story, or reflects a genuine change in the author's analysis as events unfold — these are marked as updates, not corrections, and are not evidence the original piece was in error.

Opinion and analysis

This site publishes analysis and argued commentary, not just fact reporting. Disagreement with an interpretation or conclusion is not, by itself, a factual error — but if you believe an argument rests on a factual mistake, that's exactly what this policy is for.
